Intravenous or IV Sedation, Conscious Oral Sedation, or Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) will make your dental experience calm and relaxing. Dr. Staples and his staff are highly trained and ready to give you the reassurance you have been waiting for. There is no need to dread or avoid taking care of your oral health when you are with the team at Staples Dental. Ignoring your dental needs leads to a long list of other health problems. Dr. Larry O. Staples has been using Nitrous Oxide and Conscious or Oral Sedation through his career. He studied and is qualified to administer IV sedation in the dental office under the direction of Dr. Stanley F. Malamed, a respected leader in the field of sedation and emergency dentistry. Dr. Staples attended Dr. Malamed's series of courses through the Continuing Education programs at the USC School of Dentistry. Dr. Staples states, "It was a privilege to be able to work with Dr. Malamed. He is at the top of his field in teaching and authoring the go to materials for sedation and patient management. I have such respect for him and for the skills that I acquired from someone I consider to be one of, if not the best, in the country in this discipline." Dr. Staples is certified and has met all detailed requirements by the State of Nevada and the Nevada Dental Board in order to care for his patients in a safe and pleasant environment. Dr. Staples is also a member of the DOCS Education organization that specializes in sedation dentistry.
